Communications and Engagement Manager

Grow Asia was established in 2015 by the World Economic Forum, in collaboration with the ASEANSecretariat, in response to the urgent need for collaborative, market-based action to transformSoutheast Asia’s food system into one that is more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.Grow Asia does this by convening global and regional public, private and civil society organizationsaround macro-level issues (e.g., agri-food innovation, responsible agricultural investing, women’seconomic empowerment, and climate adaptation and resilience) to broker both commercial and non-profit partnerships, share best practice, and create an ecosystem that supports pre-competitivedialogue, collaboration, and policy change.

The Grow Asia network comprises our regional officein Singapore and five national chapters–whichwe refer to as our Country Partnerships–in Cambodia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines,and Viet Nam. In 2020, Grow Asia was accredited as an Entity Associated with ASEAN.

The accreditation recognizes the important role Grow Asia plays in the region, particularly in facilitating multi-stakeholder partnerships for more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable food systems in ourregion.The Cambodia Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture (CPSA) was launched by Grow Asia in May2016 in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), and with supportfrom the Ministry of Commerce (MOC). CPSA is an inclusive platform for networking and bestpractice exchange, the promotion of sectoral and market system transformation, and the developmentof agricultural value chains that are better equipped to support profitable, scalable smallholderenterprises. Since its inception, CPSA has built a network of 124 partners working across fourWorking Groups to address critical sectoral challenges in Cambodia

The Cambodia Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture (CPSA) is hiring a Communications and Engagement Manager to support in cementing our position as a leader in building multi-stakeholder, market-driven, and action-oriented partnerships for more inclusive, resilient and sustainable food systems. The Communications and Engagement Manager will support the development and implementation of Grow Asia’s communication strategies, maintain its digital and online platforms (e.g., website, social media presence), support the planning and execution of CPSA events, and, in collaboration with the broader CPSA team, highlight our successes and learnings while effectively communicating the complexity of the issues facing our region’s food system.

The Communications and Engagement Manager will also support the CPSA stakeholder engagement (e.g., partner surveys, research, and partnership management), Working Group management (e.g., coordinating Working Group meetings and supporting the M&E team with data collection) CPSA Working Group meetings), and resource mobilization (i.e., supporting the Programs Lead with drafting/refining proposals and concept notes).

While reporting to the Country Director, the role will also work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to increase awareness of, and appreciation for, CPSA’s contribution to sustainable agricultural development.

The Communications and Engagement Manager’s responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to: Communications:

●Manage communications channels including the CPSA Website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Telegram, YouTube, and online newsletters (monthly and quarterly).
●Develop and implement communications strategies

●Develop communications and promotional materials, including but not limited to photos, videos, posters, brochures, reports and publications to amplify CPSA’s activities and impacts

●Organize and manage online events carried out on Zoom, Google Meets, and other necessary online platforms

●Organize and facilitate in-person events, including stakeholder meetings, workshops, trainings, summits, and other

●Manage CPSA Program and Projects database.

●Assist in reviewing CPSA Program and Project progress reports.

●Support in developing fundraising documents, including concept note and proposals Stakeholder Engagement:

●Lead the impact measurement activities based on Grow Asia/CPSA process and format

●In consultation with CPSA Country Director, Programs Lead, and Partnership Manager, guide Working Group members towards clear, well-articulated, realistic and attainablegoals and strategies

●Assist and encourage Working Group (WG) leaders to take a more active role in driving theWG.

●Where relevant, together with CPSA Country Director and Programs Lead, establish newWGs. This includes identifying appropriate leads, co-leads and members.

●Identify missing stakeholders that should be brought into the WGs and the broader CPSA network.

●Write minutes or reports of each meeting, to submit to CPSA Country Director a summary of the meeting covering key topics discussed, next steps and persons responsible.

●Maintain strong and meaningful relationships with WG members and partners

●Work with Grow Asia to support the implementation of priority programs and projects in Cambodia

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in social media and web management, graphic design and basic video editing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Khmer and English
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Experience in network building and partnership engagement
  • Able to communicate to diverse audiences
  • High level of integrity and commitment to socio-economic development and food systems transformation
  • Strong, versatile copywriting skills
  • Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
  • Is self-motivated, detail-minded and proactive
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
  • Good verbal presentation, group dynamic, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to translate complex ideas and programs into interesting insights for external audiences
  • Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office in English and Khmer
